IPG's Multi-Axis Laser System

Aug. 27, 2017 – IPG Photonics has announced a new partnership with MC Machinery (MCM) promoting IPG’s portfolio of industrial laser systems for materials processing applications.

Founded in 1990, IPG specializes in high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers for use in a range of applications such as materials processing, advanced applications, telecommunications and medical applications. IPG’s Systems Group produces a line of Multi-Axis laser processing workstations that can be configured for welding, cutting, drilling or cladding applications. According to the company, the systems are modular in design and can be sold as stand-alone laser machining workcells or as fully automated processing units through the addition of custom-designed part handling.

“I am pleased to announce our partnership with IPG in the sales and service of their new Multi-Axis Fiber Laser system, which provides a competitive product solution for a wide range of product sizes and applications,” said Bill Isaac, senior VP, MCM Sales & Marketing. “We feel IPG’s strong reputation and proven record of success aligns well with the core values of MC Machinery and will be an asset to our customers in the markets we serve.”

“MCM’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge makes them a key addition to IPG’s sales network,” said Trevor Ness, senior vice president, Global Sales and Marketing. “Increasing customer demand led us to look for an addition to our team who fits with our tradition of innovation and exceptional service and we are very fortunate to attract someone of MCM’s caliber to fulfill this role. I’m confident MCM will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality laser based system solutions for their clients and their customer base will enjoy the benefits of this partnership immediately.”
