Oct. 14, 2017 – Hy-Tech Machine has announced the acquisition of the assets of Numatx Inc.
“Hy-Tech sells a wide range of products, tools, and parts under a number of well-respected brand names,” said Douglas Ciabotti, president of Hy-Tech. “Our products are found in critical applications serving the fabricated metals, power generation, petrochemical, ship building, construction, refinery, railroad, and mining industries. Now, with the addition of Numatx, we’ll add an entirely new product category that aligns perfectly with our engineered solutions approach as well as with our existing brands and gives us a strong point of entry into the aerospace industry. The Numatx patented rivet system is an innovative approach to compression riveting and we’re excited to welcome them to our family.”
Among Hy-Tech’s current brands are ATP, ATSCO, Flex -Tech, Ozat, Quality Gear and Thaxton. Hy-Tech provides engineered solutions and re-engineering services to OEMs as well as industrial air tools; over 20,000 replacement parts for recognized brand names; hydrostatic testing plugs for pipe, tubing and pressure vessels; and gears, sprockets and splined shafts.
Numatx was founded in 2011 by Mark Swinford, an aeronautical engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of aerospace structures, systems and tooling.
“Numatx riveters feature constant force over the entire stroke range. Since they’re fully hydraulic at the forming head portion, they’re more compact than traditional pneumatic-only units, so they reduce operator fatigue and improve product quality,” said Ciabotti. “We think bringing safer, more efficient tools to our markets is the best way to help our customers produce a quality product and keep growing our business.”
