Weber Manufacturing commits $7.9M for plant expansion
November 5, 2017 by Manufacturing AUTOMATION
Nov. 4, 2017 – Moldmaker Weber Manufacturing Technologies is adding capacity to its production plant in Midland, Ont., with help from the provincial government.
Founded in 1962, Weber builds molds for customers that include BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Chrysler, GM, and Boeing.
The expansion will boost Weber’s capacity by about 30 per cent and help it increase its exports. The upgrades will also create 17 new jobs at the facility.
The Ontario government is contributing $790,000 – or one-tenth of project costs – through a Southwestern Ontario Development Fund investment.
Weber plans to complete work on the project by the end of 2020.
