Nov. 9, 2017 – In partnership with New Brunswick Department of Post Secondary Education, Training and Labour, Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) is inviting all New Brunswick manufacturers to improve their workplace manufacturing essential and productivity skills.

In support of manufacturers in New Brunswick, EMC is providing fully funded essential skills training programs for supervisors and production workers to address skills gaps and raise productivity levels and capabilities of N.B. manufacturers.

The initiative, Manufacturing Essentials Certification (MEC), will provide tools and resources for the manufacturing workforce across the province.
Workers who participate in the program will learn the skills necessary to become more effective and productive in their roles, further increasing their engagement with their employers through workplace performance projects. With the MEC pilot project, EMC is establishing the foundation of a partnership framework with the provincial government for an external delivery model of Essential Skills training for the Manufacturing Industry in New Brunswick.
