Binder USA adds five-pin model to 696 HEC connector series

Feb. 27, 2018 – Binder USA has expanded the series 696 HEC (Harsh Environment Connector) product family with the addition of a five-pin version.

The 32 A per contact, 600 V power connector is constructed with high-grade 4+PE gold-plated crimp contacts, says the company, adding that the series 696 HEC’s plastic design was developed specifically for use in demanding environmental conditions. According to binder USA, the unit is “highly resistant” against climatic influences such as UV exposure, as well as shock and vibration. It is also IP68 and IPX9K rated and is suitable for washdown applications in industrial and chemical industries. Customers can select the eight- and 12-pin versions.
