Apr. 29, 2018 – Wieland Electric has announced its first surface mounted PCB connector series with push-in connection technology.

The company describes the 7060 SMD (surface mounted device) as a compact and powerful PCB terminal designed for small electronic devices such as commercial appliances, control units and LED applications. The push-in technology, Wieland explains, is a tool-free connection type that aims to deliver time savings during installation. Integrated test connections also allow for testing of the electrical connection. With a height of 4.14 mm and a 2.5 mm pitch, the 7060 SMD features a PCB terminal with a current carrying capacity of up to 9 amps and a voltage rating of up to 150 volts. The 7060 SMD can be used with through hole reflow soldering process (THR), and is available for order in two- to four-pole configurations.
