New Tru-Vu 10.4-inch sunlight readable touchscreen monitors

May 4, 2018 – Tru-Vu Monitors, a supplier of industrial-grade LCD monitors and touchscreens, has released a 10.4-inch waterproof touchscreen monitor designed to operate in direct, bright sunlight and other high ambient light conditions.

The SRMHTR-10.4 series feature LED backlights to produce 1,500 nits of brightness, which Tru-Vu says results in “amazingly bright, crystal-clear images, even with direct sunlight on the face of the screen.” The company says the series features Tru-Tuff treatment, which includes: RTV silicone on all connections and critical components; all wires are dressed, tie-wrapped and secured; ThreadLock on all screws; and rugged powder-coated steel enclosure. Offering a five-wire resistive touchscreen that can be activated via a finger or another pointing device, the series is suitable for a range of applications such as industrial, aviation, inspection, surveying and cranes.
