May 14, 2018 – The Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) has announced Bren de Leeuw will be taking on responsibilities with the EMC Learning Centre. de Leeuw will be leading all Learning Centre activities with a focus on Lean training, as well as continuing to look after its food and beverage initiatives.

She will work closely with Amy Edwards who has been assisting with EMC’s Lean and non-lean programs for several years.

de Leeuw joined EMC in April 2002 as a field service advisor. She also led the establishment  of new consortiums across Ontario and the East Coast. de Leeuw has been leading the food and beverage project in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Food and Rural Affairs, and EMC says she has done an “exceptional job” bringing manufacturers together for business briefings and networking over the five-year long project. In addition, she works with the team to develop new consortiums out west.

“Bren has always brought a special and unique dedication to EMC. She has boundless energy and caring in everything she does,” said the consortium in a statement.
