CAMM forms Automate Canada cluster for manufacturing automation companies

January 18, 2019 – The Canadian Association of Mold Makers (CAMM) recently announced the new name for the national automation arm of their association.

Automate Canada will be the new global cluster of companies specializing in manufacturing automation solutions.

Automation extends beyond automotive to touch on such industries as agriculture, energy and logistics, and an automation cluster would greatly diversify the Windsor region’s economy, the organization says.

CAMM president Jonathon Azzopardi says that to his knowledge, no other region in North America has such a concentration of automotive and automation companies.

“We’re really excited about this because it’s a first,” he says. “I don’t believe there’s any organization like this.”

The new arm will provide the automation sector with opportunities in the industry including trade shows in India, Brazil, Germany and USA. In addition, Automate Canada will be the members’ voice for all house of commons meetings, trade agreement conversations, government exposure and will work to increase their reach to Industry Canada.
