ATS Automation completes acquisition of Comecer

February 28, 2019 – ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc., the Ontario-based global automation solutions provider, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Comecer S.p.A, a manufacturer of advanced aseptic containment and processing systems for the nuclear medicine and pharmaceutical industries.

The deal, which was for an undisclosed amount, was originally announced on December 19, 2018.

Comecer generates approximately 55 per cent of its annual sales to customers in the radiopharmaceutical market, where it supplies specialized radiation shielding systems used by customers in the production, handling and dispensing of radiopharmaceutical drugs.
