
Gescan continues support for GE Intelligent Platforms after Emerson acquisition

June 20, 2019 – Gescan Industrial & Automation Group remains a channel partner for customers with GE Intelligent Platforms solutions following Emerson’s acquisition of the GE Intelligent Platforms business.
In a note to customers, Emerson stated that it acquired the GE Intelligent Platforms business as part of its strategy to become the leading provider of automation solutions across discrete, hybrid and process end markets. With the acquisition, Emerson gained an extension to its portfolio and base, as well as a team of experts in industry-leading PLCs and control solutions.
“We are fully committed to supporting our existing active product lines and will making significant investments over the next three years to expand our product and services portfolio and accelerate key product programs to better serve your industrial control needs,” reads the note.
Supported products include industrial PCs, panel PCs and operator interfaces, control systems and I/O, motion products, IoT and edge solutions, and control and supervisory software.
