ATS announces acquisition of specialized manufacturer DF S.r.l

ATS Automation Tooling Systems is acquiring DF S.r.l, a manufacturer that specializes in pharmaceutical processing and packaging equipment and systems. ATS expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of 2021, pending the completion of customary regulatory filings. DF will join ATS’ Comecer business.

“The addition of DF provides Comecer with a complementary portfolio of products allowing us to enhance our value proposition to customers, particularly in the aseptic fill-finish manufacturing area” said Simone Volpi, president of Comecer. “We also see opportunities for joint product development and cross-selling across the Comecer and DF portfolios which will help drive future growth for our businesses”.

DF supplies specialized production equipment and systems that cater to the pharmaceutical market. It is also expanding into other markets, including food.
