The Pepperl+Fuchs brand ecom has expanded its Tab-Ex tablet series with the Tab-Ex Pro, based on the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro.
The new tablet features a larger 10-inch touch screen and applications such as augmented reality, to give a desktop-like experience outside of the field.
The Tab-Ex Pro is suited for IIoT-capable applications and simplifies data exchange with SCADA / DCS systems, enterprise resource planning systems (SAP, IBM Maximo), project management systems and computer-aided system planning.
The tablet is ideal for a wide range of tasks such as inventory, material tracking, maintenance, and supply chain and asset management.
Tab-Ex Pro runs on the Android 10 operating system, featuring a Qualcomm SDM670 Octa-Core 64-bit 2.0 GHz, 1.7 GHz processor with 4 GB RAM.
The Tab-Ex Pro is designed for industrial use and rated IP68 for protection from dust and water, making it resistant to impact and vibration. Tab-Ex Pro carries ATEX/IECEx + NEC/CEC Div. 2 and Zone 2 certifications and CE + FCC / IC compliance testing approvals. The Tab-Ex Pro is also compatible with ATT, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon networks.
