Carlo Gavazzi has donated approximately $11,000 worth of equipment to help train future automation engineers at Fanshawe College in London, Ont.

John Babic, Carlo Gavazzi’s account manager for the Southwestern Ontario / Niagara Region, presented Joel Van Bynen, a technologist with Fanshawe’s Faculty of Technology, with the product package that included inductive proximity sensors, general purpose electromechanical and solid state relays. The package was valued at approximately $11,000.

Also on hand for the presentation were Mary Flannigan, Fanshawe’s development coordinator, Vertha Coligan, dean of the Faculty of Technology, Catherine Finlayson, executive director of the Fanshawe College Foundation, Development and Alumni, and Gerrie Electric’s Shawn Burns.

The material helps support Fanshawe College’s well respected technology curriculum, providing students with valuable hands-on experience with products that they will be working with upon their graduation.
