Endress+Hauser Canada donates $263K in equipment to Lambton College

Jan. 5, 2016 - Endress+Hauser Canada has made a contribution of $263,000 to the Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology program at Lambton College in Sarnia, Ont.

The donation, comprised of a range of industrial measurement devices, hopes to provide students with access to sophisticated instruments available in process industries, “ensuring they gain critical hands-on experience while they prepare to enter challenging careers in the Canadian workforce,” says representatives of the process measurement and automation supplier. The company will provide and install the instruments for the measurement of flow, level, pressure and temperature in Lambton’s Instrumentation & Control Engineering laboratory. The equipment is expected to be installed in January.

“In keeping with Endress+Hauser’s continuous support of educational institutions, we are pleased to offer Lambton College students the best possible preparation in order to join the workforce in Sarnia, and across Canada,” said Tony Varga, general manager and CEO of Endress+Hauser Canada. “As we build partnerships with post-secondary institutions, it is imperative that we find schools focused not only on instrumentation and controls, but also on building the next generation of leaders in this industry. Lambton College is one of those special schools.”

Since 2012, Endress+Hauser Canada has donated more than $780,000 in instrumentation to colleges and universities across Canada, including Northern Lights College (Fort St. John, B.C.), Cambrian College and College Boreal (Sudbury, Ont.), McMaster University (Hamilton, Ont.) and Lambton College.

“We are pleased to celebrate this new partnership and very generous process instrumentation donation that will further enhance our exceptional educational programming, and the training and research opportunities for our various flagship technology programs,” said Judith Morris, president and CEO of the college. “I would like to thank Endress+Hauser for their contribution to the college, as this support ensures our students have access to state-of-practice equipment and facilities through which our graduates will continue to meet and exceed the expectations of industry employers.”
