Blanco Canada reaches 20 years

Jul. 21, 2015 – Blanco Canada is celebrating its 20th anniversary since opening its manufacturing facility and operations.

Based in Brampton, Ont., the location is one of only two Blanco Silgranit (granite composite) sink productions worldwide, alongside the company’s manufacturing facility in Germany.

The Brampton site is home to its Canadian head office and Blanco Silgranit manufacturing facility that supports the North American market, as well as a growing number of employees responsible for the Canadian operations, manufacturing and distribution of products. Over the course of 20 years, the Canadian group experienced a continued growth, implemented several expansion initiatives and successfully responded to market demands, challenges, and trends, said company representatives.

The company describes Made in Canada Silgranit as a unique, patented material developed by Blanco that combines 80 per cent natural granite stone with an acrylic resin formula promising strength and durability. Silgranit sinks are said to be scratch, stain, acid and heat-resistant, withstanding up to 280 C.
