Sept. 22, 2015 – To mark the seven-millionth Honda vehicle built in Canada, the company will donate the grey 2015 Honda Civic EX sedan to the annual Rally For Kids with Cancer fundraiser for live auction. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Sick Kids Foundation.

“At Honda, we strive to be a company that Canadians want to exist,” said Jerry Chenkin, president and CEO, Honda Canada. “In order to execute this vision, the Honda Canada Foundation provides annual funding to registered non-profit charities across Canada in support of science- and engineering-based education, environment and family initiatives.”

Honda became the first Japanese automaker to manufacture cars in Canada in 1986. Since then, it has produced more than seven million cars and trucks at its two manufacturing facilities and builds engines at a third manufacturing plant in Alliston, Ont. Both manufacturing facilities currently build Honda Civic and CR-V models.
