Jul. 22, 2016 – After five years in its previous factory, Verotec says it has moved the operation approximately 10 miles to a new home in Botley, Southampton, as a result of “continuing and sustained growth in the modified and custom side of the business.”

According to the company, the new facility doubles the amount of space for the design department, enables extra CAD seats, and increases manufacturing and assembly space on the shop floor.

As well, a £120,000+ investment (roughly C$206,000) made two years ago for a large bed Datron M8Cube CNC machining centre — used for complex 3D high precision machining, high volume batch processing and multi-shift operation — is now operating at almost full capacity, it added. There are plans to install a second machine “soon” to help further increase capacity and reduce delivery times.

“We are very pleased with the progress we have made since our formation in 2007. Our skilled and experienced staff have all relocated to the new premises and our future is looking very positive with a strong order book,” said Tim Armstrong, commercial director.

Established in 1961, Verotec designs, manufactures and integrates a range of standard products including 19-in. racks, instrument cases, fantrays, backplanes, power supplies and bus-based systems.
