Graybar Canada has appointed Cory Morris as its vice-president for the Atlantic region, effective April 6, 2020.
Morris began his career with Graybar Canada in 2008 as a marketing assistant during a university co-op placement.
Throughout his 12-year career in the industry, Morris has held many positions and completed Graybar Canada’s Manager in Development program in 2015. The three-year program gave him the opportunity to experience all levels of the company – from warehouse and counter sales, to finance and branch management.
Morris then moved to the automation group, where he became a services and solutions specialist before being appointed to automation manager, Atlantic, in 2018.
“Cory’s demonstrated leadership abilities, strategic mindset and customer-focused drive will help guide our business in Atlantic Canada in the coming years,” says Jason Taylor, executive vice-president and general manager of Graybar Canada in a statement.
“I look forward to supporting and amplifying the excellent initiatives we’ve embarked upon, including our digital transformation strategy, our solution-focused sales approach and our aim to be the distributor of the future,” says Morris.
“My priorities are our people, our customers, our partners and the sustainability of our industry. I feel very fortunate to work in a role where I can affect positive change and influence growth within an incredible company and industry that I’m passionate about.”
