Mar. 11, 2016 – Steve Prahalis has been introduced as the director of Canadian Operations for SME, an organization serving the manufacturing industry by helping to promote advanced manufacturing technology. Prahalis will assume responsibility for the growth, strategic direction and financial performance of SME’s Canadian business and develop new Canadian opportunities for all SME business units.

“We’re committed to serving the Canadian manufacturing industry,” said Jeffrey Krause, SME CEO. “And our important Canadian team is getting a terrific leader and colleague in Steve. His expertise and experience will be critically important going forward.”

In addition, Prahalis will assume leadership of SME Studios, a new program producing “one-of-a-kind customer initiatives and special projects.” According to SME, these “high engagement initiatives will recognize and celebrate manufacturing innovation and excellence and further demonstrate SME’s commitment to this industry.”

Prahalis joined SME in 2003 and has been responsible for the introduction of several initiatives, including the creation and launch of imX – the Interactive Manufacturing Experience – as well as providing leadership in SME events and membership.
