Steve Mueller joins FreePoint as its new CTO

Dec. 13, 2016 – London, Ont.-based FreePoint Technologies has hired Steve Mueller to join the business as its new chief technology officer, saying it has “taken a large step towards establishing itself as a leader in machine monitoring technology.”

“We are thrilled to have Steve on board at this critical point in our company’s history — and its future,” said Paul Hogendoorn, company president and CEO. “Steve will lead and direct our strategic technology development plan, assist with the development of our sales and marketing plan, help recruit and retain the technology development people required for our growth, and help establish industry relationships and strategic partnerships.”

Described as a “versatile leader and problem-solver with extensive technology expertise and global business acumen that bridges the gap between business and information technologies,” Mueller’s experience spans markets in Canada, the U.S. and Europe for industry giants such as Microsoft, CGI and Bell Canada. He most recently served as chief information officer of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and in an advisory capacity to ATS Automation.
