Jun. 23, 2017 - A Canadian not-for-profit manufacturing consortium — Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) — has announced that Shawn Casemore has joined its board of directors.

Casemore has held a career in manufacturing spanning nearly two decades working with such organizations as Magna International, Bellwyck Packaging Ltd, Pilkington Glass and Bruce Power in leadership roles that have included operations, supply chain management, project management and sales. In 2009, Casemore left Bruce Power and began Casemore and Co Inc. where he has worked with dozens of manufacturers from across North America to improve their productivity, performance and profitability. Organizations have included manufacturers such as Larsen and Shaw Ltd., Gerson and Gerson Incorporated, Breaker Technology and Saje Natural Wellness to name a few.

Casemore is also a professional speaker and the author of “Operational Empowerment” from McGraw Hill (December 2015) as well as the forthcoming book “The Unstoppable Organization” from Career Press (December 2017).

“In bringing Shawn onto the Board of Directors, we bring someone to EMC who understands today’s manufacturing industry and is committed to ensuring our members have the tools, resources and support necessary that will help them achieve short-term and long-term success,” said Al Diggins, president and general manager of EMC.

“We are pleased to have Shawn join us, helping us to remain focused on bettering the performance and profitability of our members and manufacturing across Canada” added Jim McCoubrey, board chairman.
