Bob Barone named Precision Drive Systems VP

Sep. 8, 2017 – Precisions Drive Systems (PDS), a provider of high-speed precision spindle motors, support and repair based in Bessemer City, N.C., has named Bob Barone vice president.

According to the company, Barone brings a wealth of experience to PDS, including owning and operating an architectural millwork company, as well as holding product management and sales positions. His experience in wood, plastic and engineered composite manufacturing applications will help assist customers with their spindle needs – both with new equipment and repair service, adds PDS.

Since 1996, PDS has been provider high-speed precision spindle motors, support and repairs for CNC machines in the wood, plastics, metal manufacturing and robotics industries. The company manufactures automatic and manual tool-change spindles and 5-axis heads under its own PDS brand and offers spindles from Giordano Colombo, Hiteco and Spintec.
