EMC names Sue Elliott N.S. field service advisor

Jun. 14, 2018 – Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC), a not-for-profit consortium serving and supporting Canada’s manufacturing industry, has announced the retirement of Glenn Durnford, field service advisor for Nova Scotia, as of August 31.

“Glenn has tirelessly worked forging relationships in the Nova Scotia manufacturing community, helping to share common industry issues with the solutions vetted by our members,” according to an EMC press release.

Succeeding Durnford is Sue Elliott, an Operational Management Specialist who EMC describes as “well versed in production requirements and the supporting processes to a successful supply chain.” She has received her Six Sigma Green Belt, certified to AS9100 Rev C standard in Quality Management, and received her National Certification in Human Resources by the Association of Nova Scotia.

“Susan’s experience has included working for several manufacturers including Advanced Precision Machining & Fabrication, Simplicity Designs and most recently Add-A-Plan Business Services. With a proven ability to manage change for large scale improvement projects, Susan has spearheaded the formation of the Nova Scotia Machining Association while founding the Metal Industry working group to provide training and development opportunities for skilled labour workers,” says EMC.
