Sept. 8, 2015 - TM Robotics, partnered with Toshiba Machine, has hired Doug Dalgliesh as business development manager. Boasting more than 35 years of industrial robot experience, Dalgliesh will be responsible for cultivating the company’s distributor network while identifying and nurturing new markets.
Aug. 31, 2015 - After eight years with Equipment Supply Company (ESCO), the company is promoting Steve Dyer to the position of president. In this role, Dyer will have the responsibility of working with and building relationships with ESCO’s customer base worldwide, while working with sales and customer service staff to manage day-to-day sales activities.
Jul. 21, 2015 - Bill Hewitson has been promoted to president of Ruland Manufacturing after serving as vice-president of operations for the previous eight years. He is the third president in the company’s history and succeeds Bob Ruland who will continue to oversee the company as chairman.
Jul. 14, 2015 - After serving Mitutoyo Canada for 27 years, Jay Summers, executive vice president, has announced he will take retirement starting June 30, 2015. His role will be transitioned to Peter Detmers (photo) who has been with Mitutoyo Canada since 1991 and became vice president in 2012.
Jun. 10, 2015 - The Manufacturing Institute awarded Amy Lakin, executive vice-president supply chain for Baldor Electric Company, with the Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Ahead Award. The STEP Ahead Award honours women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory-floor to the C-suite.
Jun. 10, 2015 - John Raynor, president of Manufacturers Automation Inc. (MAPP), is announcing Andy Tod is returning to the firm as sales manager. Tod has been involved with various electrical distributors over the past decade and has “acquired a wide knowledge of the workings of the automation industry,” said Raynor.
Jun. 5, 2015 - Omron’s Automation and Safety business in the Americas is welcoming Robert (Robb) M. Black to the position of president and COO. He brings with him an “extensive background” in industrial automation and experience from leadership positions at Honeywell, Turck and Rockwell Automation.
May 26, 2015 - FreePoint Technologies has been awarded the 2015 Techcellence Award for Innovation, an annual award presented by TechAlliance to a company in Southwestern Ontario that “develops new technologies that change the way business is done, or uses technology to solve an existing problem in an innovative way.”

May 4, 2015 - Effective July 1, 2015, Paul Cooke (left in photo) has been appointed regional president Americas and president & CEO of Bosch Rexroth U.S. He will continue as senior vice-president sales within the business unit industrial applications at office headquarters in Lohr, Germany, until the end of June.
