Cheryl Jensen
Vice-President, Technology, Apprenticeship and Corporate Training, Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology

Cheryl
Jensen holds an Honours Degree in Chemistry from McMaster University,
and a Master of Education in Organizational and Administrative Studies
from Brock University. After graduating from McMaster, Jensen worked at
Procter and Gamble as a product development chemist and at Stelco Inc.
as an analytical chemist. During her time at Stelco, she completed a
certificate in Metallurgy from McMaster University. She started at
Mohawk College in 1983 as a faculty member in the Chemical and
Environmental Technology department. Since then, she has held a variety
of positions such as Administrative Co-ordinator, Acting Chair,
Technology Transfer Institute Co-ordinator, Chair of Electrotechnology
and Chemical and Environmental Technology, and Executive Dean, Faculty
of Engineering Technology. On May 1, 2006, Jensen became
Vice-President, Technology, Apprenticeship and Corporate Training.  

Bill Valedis
President, Imperial Automation Technologies Inc. and Manager, Automation Systems and Training, Precision DBS

Bill
Valedis is the President of Imperial Automation Technologies, and
Manager of Automation Systems and Training at Precision DBS. For more
than 30 years, Valedis has earned a reputation for providing skilled
and practical guidance as an automation systems consultant, application
development architect and technology instructor. He holds a Diploma in
Electrical Technology, an Electronics Engineering Technician Diploma
and has studied at Ryerson University as part of a three-year
undergraduate study in Electronics Engineering Technology, specific to
control systems. He sits on the Educational Program Innovations
Center’s advisory board.


Sherman Lang
Industrial Technology Advisor, National Research Council Canada, Industrial Research Assistance Program

Sherman
Lang is an Industrial Technology Advisor with the National Research
Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program. Previously, he was a
senior research officer with the National Research Council’s Integrated
Manufacturing Technologies Institute, and group leader of the
Reconfigurable Manufacturing Group. He has a B. A. Sc., M. A. Sc. and a
Ph. D. in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Lang has held positions with the Laboratory for Biomedical Engineering
and the Autonomous Systems Laboratory at the NRC’s Institute for
Information Technology, and the Department of Manufacturing Engineering
and Engineering Management at the City University of Hong Kong. He has
carried out research in the areas of: intelligent robotics and
automation; flexible reconfigurable manufacturing; mechatronics and
mechanisms; and intelligent distributed systems. He is the author of
more than 100 scientific and technical publications.


Al Diggins
President and General Manager, Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC)

Since
founding EMC nearly 25 years ago, Al Diggins has guided EMC’s growth
and development from a small 18-member local association into "Canada’s
largest manufacturing consortium." An entrepreneur at heart, Diggins’
35-plus years of experience – acquired through executive and senior
management positions in the manufacturing and banking industries –
gives him the unique ability to lead his team, helping manufacturers to
achieve a competitive advantage in all facets of their business.

David Green
Technology and Business-to-Business Marketing Professional

David
H. Green, P.Eng., is a technology and business-to-business marketing
professional, who has spent more than 30 years in sales, marketing,
channel management, technical support and media relations. He also
helps develop partnerships between educational institutions and
businesses, and works with WorldSkills International. He is formerly a
Marketing Director with Fluke Corp. in Canada and the Americas/Pacific
Region.

Don McCrudden
National Sales Manager, Festo

Don McCrudden graduated from Centennial College in 1978. He has been the National Sales Manager for Festo since 1985.
