December 20, 2010
By Mary Del

Lenox, a company that designs, tests and manufactures power tool accessories, hand tools, band saw blades, torches, solder and accessories, has opened a new weld centre in Mississauga, Ont., to serve industrial band saw blade customers in Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada. The new centre is the only Lenox authorized weld centre in the province, and will produce Lenox factory welds on industrial metal cutting band saw blades up to three inches wide. The centre will keep coil stock on hand to provide faster delivery and service on custom length blades.

An investment of $500,000 has been made into this facility. The weld centre will be able to serve a broad range of industrial band saw blade customers, including both new and existing customers. The centre opened on December 1, 2010, and the first custom band saw blade was shipped two days later. A grand opening of the facility is being scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.
