Applied Energy Technologies (AET), a global provider of solar mounting solutions, is now manufacturing its solar mounting system in Ontario as a response to the domestic content requirements set by the feed-in tariff program.

The company’s Rayport stainless series ballasted racking system is the first of AET’s product lineup to launch in Ontario.

“We are committed to serving the Canadian market and excited to be able to meet the local manufacturing requirements for Ontario’s FIT and MicroFit programs. This also represents a stepping stone for AET into international markets,” said Aaron Faust, vice-president of the business development for AET.

AET’s new Canadian operation – AET Canada – which began production in April, supplies the Canadian photovoltaic market with its Rayport stainless series ballasted racking system for commercial roof applications. The company also has manufacturing and warehouse space in Maumee, Ohio.
