Aug. 20, 2015 – Two Quebec-based companies are planning to form what they say will be Eastern Canada’s largest producer of treated wood, with seven plants in four provinces.

The joint venture means Group Lebel Cambium’s plants in Bancroft and Caledon, Ont., and Dégelis and St-Joseph, Que., will be combined with Goodfellow’s three plants in Delson, Que., Elmsdale, N.S., and Deer Lake, N.L., to form a new business unit.

According to a company announcement by Goodfellow, the move will “enhance the strengths of both partners to better serve the pressure treated wood customers throughout Eastern Canada.”
