Sept. 21, 2015 - With the recent installation of new “state-of-the-art” additive metal 3D printing equipment, Additive Metal Manufacturing (AMM) says it is now offering customers the capability to design, develop, rapid prototype and manufacture additive metal Manufacturing solutions.

Located in Toronto, Ont., AMM is launched by Norman Holesh, David Slimowitz and Nigel Southway, three Canadian industry professionals boasting 100-plus years of combined operational experience in the global manufacturing sector. They say they are working to develop “world-leading collaborative relationships with clients and local centres of excellence and learning to assist the Canadian manufacturing sectors competitive journey.”

“Having experienced significant loss of its manufacturing sectors over the last three decades, Canada must embrace this ‘do differently’ approach to be globally competitive,” says company representatives. “It is through this type of emerging additive metal technology that AMM is leading this shift with the introduction of the latest technologies like additive metal manufacturing (also referred to as 3D metal printing). This technology may offer a significant competitive advantage, and it complements industry advanced manufacturing standards to support repatriation of manufacturing to Canada.”

“We anticipate rapid growth of our independent no conflict service bureau that offers a low risk barrier to entry for industrial manufacturers who wish to avail themselves of this new emerging technology,” said Norman Holesh, CEO.

The company says it has an “aggressive” growth plan and, within three years, will expand its capability in its existing facility to provide 150,000 hours pa of additive metal processing capacity.
