Ontario-based Virtek to open new European office

Nov. 3, 2016 – Virtek Vision International, a Waterloo, Ont., business that specializes in laser-based manufacturing technologies, says it is planning an office in Manchester, U.K., to better serve the European and Asia-Pacific markets.

According to a statement from the company, the new office will feature a product showroom to run product demos onsite for customers. As well, it plans to “increase customer service by decreasing turnaround times for shipments and repairs. In-country inventory of projectors will be readily available overall making it easier to get our customers up and running faster.”

“Engaging and remaining close to our customers is key to driving continued innovation,” said Todd Rhodes, vice president and general manager, Virtek. “We have seen an increased interest in our products in Europe and Asia.”

Founded in 1986 and a part of Gerber Technology, Virtek has offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Its products serve a range of applications including aerospace, construction, sheet metal fabrication and wind energy.
