Eclipse Automation opens first U.S. location

April 18, 2019 – Cambridge, Ontario’s Eclipse Automation has officially unveiled its newest 57,000 square-foot facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

The company hosted a grand opening event for 300 guests with an open house, tech day and ribbon-cutting ceremony at its newly named Eclipse Southeast location. As part of the celebration, Eclipse Southeast hosted tours and showcased over 27 exhibitors who also sponsored the event.

Eclipse delivers flexible solutions that are scaleable to support product manufacturing strategies and investment plans.

“South Carolina is the perfect location for our U.S. expansion plan as it sits in excellent proximity to our customers,” says Steve Mai, owner-founder and CEO of Eclipse Automation. “We are excited to be a part of the Rock Hill community and look forward to offering several job opportunities.”

To further commemorate the $4.6-million investment at 1510 Cedar Line Drive, speeches were delivered from a number of parties including from Mai, John Gettys, mayor of Rock Hill, Eric Nitsche, president of Eclipse Automation Southeast, among others. 

Eclipse is projected to double its workforce over the next five years in South Carolina alone and generate many career opportunities at the home office in Cambridge, Ontario.
