September 9, 2019 – Hannover Fairs USA has announced that its new Digital Industry USA trade show has been cancelled, one day before it was set to take place September 10-12, 2019.

The inaugural fair, which was to be held in Louisville, Kentucky, was to cover Industry 4.0 technologies and the Industrial Internet of Things. Show organizers did not indicate the reason for the cancellation.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and offer our deepest appreciation for your ongoing support of all our Industry 4.0 solutions events,” says Adrienne Zepeda, Hannover Fairs USA show director for industrial events, in a statement posted on the event website. “All of us at Hannover Fairs USA firmly believe that IIoT integration for manufacturers of all sizes and at every level of adoption is an extremely important topic. Moving forward, we will continue to work towards expanding this topic in the US both through expanding the Hannover Messe USA trade show and conference and by offering new Industry 4.0–focused events.”

Zepeda says that for now, Industry 4.0 will continue to be covered in other events held by Hannover Fairs, including Hannover Messe in Hannover, Germany from April 20-24, 2020 and Hannover Messe USA co-located with IMTS in Chicago from September 14-19, 2020.
