Dec. 2, 2014 – InspectionXpert has released the InspectionXpert OnDemand for CAD, describing its as a new quality planning and documentation software platform that supports both 3D model-based and 2D print-based formats.
According to the company, the software helps users save money and time by using the same workflow regardless of input file format. With no CAD license, the tool claims to be the simplest and fastest way to generate quality inspection forms and ballooned inspection drawings or MBD inspection models. Departments can view native CAD files including CATIA V5 2D or 3D, CATIA V6, and .dwg files using InspectionXpert. Support for additional CAD formats including NX, Creo/ProEngineer, Solid Edge, Inventor, Step, JT and DXF will be offered in the coming months, says the company.
