Manitoba manufacturers among four companies receiving $4.1M from feds

Two manufacturing companies and a trades school in Manitoba are among four beneficiaries receiving over $4.1 million in funding from the federal government.

Diemo Machine Works will receive $1,520,000 through Western Economic Diversification Canada’s Business Scale-up and Productivity program to integrate advanced technologies that enhance production efficiencies and enable the expansion of manufacturing capacity.

Keystone Granite will receive $1,168,500 through the same program to increase stone fabrication capacity within a new production facility.

Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology will receive $1,305,529 through the Regional Innovation Ecosystems program for the Institute to establish a skills development and training initiative in cyber security.

The fourth project is for Micro Traffic to continue operations during COVID-19 pandemic.

These investments are expected to result in training 85 people, and 46 new jobs.
