OPC Foundation creates OPC UA training program for post-secondary schools

The OPC Foundation has launched an academic outreach program called OPC UAcademics.

With the rising global adoption of the OPC UA communication standard and the proliferation of OPC UA-based products in all industries, OPC UA knowledge is an essential competency for future generations of IT and OT automation professionals.

To help academic institutions meet this need, the OPC Foundation is donating OPC UA training content suitable for universities, colleges, and technical institutes to use in their curriculums.

The content is at no cost under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0 license.

The first edition of the OPC UAcademics program content covers a comprehensive range of OPC UA topics including history and specification, space and services models, service mappings, implementation and more.
