OPEN MIND Technologies partners with Okuma’s manufacturing network

OPEN MIND and Okuma collaborated to develop an intricate turn-mill part on an Okuma MULTUS B250II horizontal multitasking machine.

August 21, 2018 – OPEN MIND Technologies AG, a developer of CAD/CAM software solutions, recently announced a partnership with Okuma America Corporation, a producer of CNC machine tools. With the partnership, OPEN MIND joins the Partners in THINC collaboration, which was founded by Okuma.

Partners in THINC is a collaborative network of 50 companies servicing the metal-cutting and manufacturing industries that work together to develop new productivity ideas.

Okuma and OPEN MIND collaborate on four-axis and five-axis projects for various Okuma machines including machining centers, multi-function mill-turn machines and hybrid technology, resulting in significant improvements in precision, reliability and quality for increased customer productivity.
