Mar. 9, 2016 – The Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FedNor) has announced an investment of $149,319 in the Lake of the Woods Brewing Company to expand its production.

According to the brewery, the repayable contribution will allow it to purchase and install larger fermentation tanks and canning equipment needed to meet growing market demand.

“Thanks to the Government of Canada’s investment in our production line, we will be able to offer our distinctive and flagship beers in smaller formats that are better suited for distribution. We look forward to strengthening our company’s position in the market and expanding our loyal customer base,” said Taras Manzie, president and CEO, Lake of the Woods Brewing Company.

“The Government of Canada is proud to support strategic initiatives that help manufacturers capitalize on business development opportunities and create jobs,” added Navdeep Bains, minister of innovation, science and economic development, and minister responsible for FedNor.
