Autodesk releases PowerMill 2019 CAM software

Apr. 2, 2018 – Autodesk is announcing PowerMill 2019, a CAM solution for high-speed and five-axis machining which includes new programming options for machine tools capable of both additive and subtractive operations.

It offers a range of strategies and editing tools designed to ensure efficient and safe machining. PowerMill can be used in various industries, in particular mold, tool and die, complex aerospace and automotive applications. Some new functionalities and enhancements include: Automatic Tool-Axis Tilting – provides a single solution that generates five-axis motion for different model shapes and toolpath types; Setups – a tool that allows programmers to better manage the synchronization between toolpaths and NC programs; and improvements to its collision avoidance tools and feature updates to Vortex and ViewMill and a direct interface to Autodesk Fusion Production.
