Jan. 8, 2016 – Carlo Gavazzi has launched its RF1 series compact solid state relay, which it says is ideally suited for applications where trouble-free operation is required and space is limited.

According to the company, the series occupies 30 per cent of the panel space typically required for a typical panel mounted (hockey puck) solid state relays at 36 mm x 21 mm x 24 mm. It features a green LED that indicates the presence of control voltage, as well as 5, 12 or 24VDC control voltage. The zero switching type (RF1A) switches On when the voltage crosses the AC sine wave’s zero crossover point, while the instant-On type (RF1B) switches on at the instant when control voltage is applied. The solid state relay boasts cRUus, CSA, CE and VDE approvals.
