SMC Corporation of Americaís Series VFD direct-operated poppet valve is designed for use in zero-pressure accumulation conveyor systems. When incorporated with a conveyor systemís control logic and sensors, the valve controls the air pressure used for roller actuation and roller braking, thus creating space between products on the conveyor line for efficient product transport. The VFD valve is available in 110-VAC and 24-VDC power supply with three electrical connections, including two-pin M8 (screw-on/snap-lock), DIN and grommet. The 24-VDC power supply valve, with its low power consumption of 0.62 watts and voltage range of 20.4 to 30 volts, is particularly suitable when multiple valves are connected in a series, allowing for voltage drop. With a response time of 14 microseconds (on) and five microseconds (off), the valve is equipped with one-touch fitting for easy connection, a silencer with sintered bronze element for reduced exhaust noise, and a manual override button for ease of commissioning the equipment. The Series VFD valve comes with two types of modular two-piece design mounting brackets ó an industry standard rectangular “quick connect” mounting bracket for a drop-in replacement on existing conveyor equipment, and a two-hole mounting bracket.
