Torque arm

By Manufacturing AUTOMATION

A new heavy-duty torque arm from ASG features a pneumatic cylinder to assist with the movement of heavier tools. Torque arms improve production efficiencies and product quality by limiting the operatorís influence on the assembly process and reducing operator fatigue. The new torque arm is designed to securely maintain tool location while allowing easy, smooth movement of assembly tools in both up-down motion and 180-degree side-to-side motion. The arm also helps absorb torque to reduce the potential for operator injury to arms, wrists or hands. The torque arm can accommodate both inline pneumatic and inline electric drivers with maximum weights of 15 lb. It is designed to mount easily to bench tops via bolts or optional bench clamp. The end-of-arm tool holder allows the operator a full grip of the driver with no pinch points. A dial regulator provides easy adjustment of resistance.
