Aug. 22, 2014 – AutomationDirect’s NITRA line of pneumatics products now includes compact modular valves. Each valve is enclosed in a reinforced technopolymer protective shell that acts as a shock-absorber and prevents the infiltration of dirt. The smooth, rounded design makes the system ideal for applications requiring frequent washing. All pneumatic connections are on one side, with built-in push-to-connect fittings. The system offers a variety of flexibility from one to 16 valves, with input and output terminals for tubing of different sizes. This, the company says, allows the versatility to mix valve and size numbers as needed. The 24 VDC electrical signal is relayed from one valve to the next by gold-plated contacts, so the electrical connections are entirely automatic.
