Advantech has released the latest in its ARK 3000 series, an "economical" Celeron M-based Box IPC with Intel 910GMLE Express chipset and I/O connectivity. The ARK-3400 offers a fanless computing solution based on the Celeron® Mobile processor (370 or 373), and supports up to 2 GB of standard DDR2 SODIMM memory. This system is suited to applications as a gate controller, or ticket vending machine, POI, or for in-vehicle installations for applications that deliver schedule information, news, advertising, or emergency bulletins to passengers.

With a long I/O coastline, it offers lots of connectors, lots of functionality: six USB 2.0 ports, two Giga LAN connectors, four serial ports including two RS-232 plus two RS-232/422/485 with autoflow control, two PCI slot, and one MiniPCI slot, which can be used for wireless LAN. There is CF card support, and 16-bit GPIO. For data storage there is one 2.5” SATA HDD bay, and one eSATA panel connector. There is also a CF card slot behind a handy access door.
