Omron adds NX701, NJ101 automation controllers

Sep. 5, 2015 – Omron has released the NX701 and NJ101 to its lineup of machine automation controllers which it says are at the heart of Sysmac automation platform.

Sysmac boasts an “innovative manufacturing environment” by creating a variety of application functionalities with software and connecting Omron and third party factory automation hardware and design tools such as 3D simulator. According to the company, this release of machine automation controllers and peripheral devices enables Sysmac to be adopted at every production site. As the flagship model, the NX701 boasts the industry’s fastest processing speed and large memory capacity for variables of 260 MB.  It features an Intel Core i7 quad-core processor and two embedded 1 Gbps EtherNet/IP ports. Meanwhile, Omron says the NJ101 is the first basic automation controller with up to two axes or no axis and is ideal for machines without or with a low number of axes.
