Lafert releases increased horsepower ratings for HPS160 magnet motor

Jan. 8, 2018 – Lafert is now offering increased horsepower ratings for the HPS series of its high performance permanent magnet motors in North America.

The series expansion includes new 160 frame designs optimized for low speed high torque applications, such as direct-drive axial fans, says the company. All new and existing HPS series motors achieve IE5 or IE4 efficiency level performance, with a “significant weight and space savings” compared to AC induction motors, adds Lafert.
