AutomationDirect BRX PLC I/O expansion modules

Jun. 10, 2018 – AutomationDirect has added more I/O expansion modules to its BRX Micro PLC product line. BRX I/O expansion modules add digital and analogue I/O as needed to expand machine and process control applications. According to AutomationDirect, BRX expansion modules easily snap onto the side of any BRX Micro PLC Unit (MPU) or the new BRX Remote I/O controller.

Three new 32-point discrete I/O and five analogue I/O expansion modules as well as three new temperature input modules have been added. Three 4-channel analogue input and two 4-channel analogue output modules are now available with current and voltage signal options. Current signal ranges are 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA; voltage ranges are 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, +/- 5 VDC, +/- 10 VDC. Max input and output signal resolution is 16-bits. Also added are 8-channel Thermocouple input, 6-channel RTD input and 8-channel Thermistor input modules; all with 16-bit resolution.
