Absopulse Electronics’ PFC 53-125EH industrial quality, AC/DC plug-in switching power supply module generates 200 watts of output power. It employs a power factor corrected input and a following half-bridge stage to convert the universal AC input voltage to a 125 VDC output, with convection cooling. All heat-generating components on the module are installed on aluminum heatsink blocks, which are connected to the heatsink fins on the side of the module. The PFC 53-125EH plug-in unit has a built-in redundancy diode for parallel connection or N+1 redundant operation, including hot insertion. It includes a module fail alarm with an optocoupler output. Designed for heavy-duty industrial environments, the PFC 53-125EH meets IEC61371 Categories 1A&B shock and vibration standards as a minimum. The power factor is corrected to a minimum of 0.97 at full load for the entire input range, in compliance with the EN6100-3-2 directive for low input harmonic distortion. The unit has input and output filtering to meet EN55022 EMI standards. Full electronic protection on the input and output eliminates the possibility of failure due to abnormal operating conditions, including application errors, the company says.
