Carlo Gavazzi’s SPP1 Series Enclosed Power Supplies feature high efficiencies up to 87 percent, resulting in more energy to the DC load, the company explains. The SPP1 Series requires little power in stand-by mode, as it consumes just 0.3 watts. It is designed to meet the ErP standard (Eco-design Directive for Energy-Related Products). A short circuit HICCUP mode ensures the SPP1 Series can withstand a continuous short across the output, yet will automatically restart when the fault clears. Output voltages are available in five, 12, 15 and 24 VDC, and are rated at 20, 35 and 60 Watts. The AC/DC universal input offers a full range of 88 to 264 VAC and 120 to 375 VDC, making these ideal for OEMs requiring complete design flexibility independent of available power sources, according to the company. Additional features include overload protection to 160 percent, and mean time before failures (MTBF) in excess of 700,000 hours.
