Jul. 6, 2016 – Anver has grown its line of press automation cups with a new slip-free series that promises to securely grip dry and oily metal sheets or other thin materials in automotive and metal processing applications.

Suitable for use with robotic pick-and-place sheet metal handling equipment, the suction cups deliver “fast attach and release functionality,” according to Anver. The suction cups, also known as panel cups, boast “excellent” sealing properties on flat or curved workpieces, such as automotive hoods, roofs, or body panels, as well as on material with minimal surface area. Anver is offering the cups in a range of shapes and sizes, such as a round or oval flat style and a round 1.5 bellows style. The cups are molded from Anver Nomathane 50 and 60 (a propriety material) with non-marking, anti-slip properties, and can operate in environments up to 180 C, adds the company.
